Turkish Parliament Speaker Bülent Arınç is scheduled to travel to Sudan from 15 to 17 January, his office confirmed. Before departing Ankara's Esenboğa Airport on Monday morning, he will hold a press conference.
On the first day, Arınç will visit Turkish cemeteries and historical tombs, attend several inauguration ceremonies, and join a dinner hosted by Türkiye's Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Ceylan.
The second day features meetings with Sudanese National Assembly Speaker Ahmed Ibrahim al-Tahir and Council of States Chairman Mawlana Ali Yahia. Arınç will address the Sudanese National Assembly and co-chair a joint parliamentary session before attending a dinner hosted by Vice President Ali Osman Taha.
On the final day, Arınç will meet Sudanese Foreign Minister Lam Akol Ajawin, Energy and Mining Minister Awad Ahmed al-Jaz, and President Umar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir. He will also inaugurate a new building for the Turkish school in Sudan and sign a memorandum of understanding before holding a closing press conference and returning home.
