Eu Commission, Coe And Turkish Officials Come Together To Discuss Tripartite Cooperation Programme On Human Rights

ANKARA - Officials from European Union Commission, Council of Europe (COE) and Turkey came together on Tuesday to discuss the tripartite cooperation programme which was carried out on human rights.
Representatives from COE, EU Commission reviewed Turkey's efforts to abide by EU acquis in human rights and democracy, and the common efforts exerted about modernization of judiciary and prison reform with officials from Foreign, Justice and Interior Ministries, Human Rights Directorate, and National Committee of Human Rights Education.
The officials also took up the common initiative taken for human rights education of police and gendarme in Turkey.
