ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will represent Turkey in the European Union (EU) Summit which will be held in Brussels between December 12 and 13.
Foreign Ministry stated on Tuesday that EU heads of state and government summit and successive meeting of Intergovernmental Conference would be held in Brussels between December 12 and 13.
''EU heads of state and government summit will be held with the participation of EU member countries and the countries to join the union next year. Thus, our country will attend Intergovernmental Conference to be held between December 12 and 13 together with Bulgaria and Romania,'' noted the statement.
EU Constitutional Treaty will be given its final shape in the conference and Turkey will be represented by Erdogan and Gul during the meetings.
Erdogan and Gul will hold bilateral meetings with their counterparts within this scope.
