ANKARA - Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Spokesman Huseyin Dirioz has said, ''Turkey and Iran has been co-operating with each other in many fields from economy to fight against terrorism. It is not correct to connect the issues of economy and terrorism with each other.''
Responding questions of journalists about news stories claiming that Iran had proposed Turkey to hold concurrent talks in economy co-operation and fight against terrorism, Dirioz told reporters, ''Iran is a neighbor of Turkey. Turkey and Iran has been co-operating with each other in many fields from economy to fight against terrorism. It is not correct to connect the issues of economy and terrorism with each other. Each of these issues has their own mechanisms. Economic relations have reciprocal characteristics while fight against terrorism is an international requirement.''
