ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan received on Monday Georgian Ambassador to Turkey Tariel Lebanidze.
Lebanidze informed Erdogan about the recent developments in Georgia and said that they needed help due to economic difficulties in Georgia.
Erdogan said that they attributed importance to territorial integrity and stability of Georgia and added that Turkey would help Georgia to eliminate difficulties as it happened in the past.
Stressing that the issue was discussed in the Council of Ministers meeting today and Foreign Ministry would undertake the mission of meeting the needs rapidly, Erdogan said that Turkey would send food and similar aid to Georgia rapidly.
