ISTANBUL - Turkish-Syrian Interparliamentary Friendship Group delegation returned to Turkey after completing visit to Syria early on Sunday.
Yuksel Cavusoglu, Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Parliamentarian and head of the delegation, told a statement at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport that they visited Syria upon an invitation.
Cavusoglu said they met with Syrian Head of State Bashar Al-Asad, Prime Minister Muhammad Naji al-Utri, and various high ranking officials.
Cavusoglu said education, technology transfer and trade were discussed, stating that they decided to further improve relations.
Stressing that they also took us the issue of terrorism, Cavusoglu said they decided with Syrian officials to exert joint efforts in this respect.
Cavusoglu said they would stage a news conference on Monday or Tuesday regarding their contacts in Syria.
