Agriculture And Rural Affairs Minister Guclu Returns To Turkey

ISTANBUL - Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Sami Guclu, who attended United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) 32nd term meetings in Rome, returned to Turkey on Thursday.
Guclu told reporters at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport that they took up world food program, productive usage of sources of world and struggle against hunger and malnutrition during the meeting.
Guclu said that he told during the meeting that developed countries should undertake more responsibilities in fight against hunger and malnutrition.
Noting that he had met with Agriculture Minister of New Zealand, Guclu said that they had evaluated cooperation opportunities on stock raising between the two countries and facilities of private sector institutions to make investment in Turkey.
Guclu said that he asked for support from FAO Director General for some agricultural projects.
Noting that he had visited large enterprises working in agriculture field in Italy and examined their activities, Guclu said that he brought the issue of joint investments in Turkey onto the agenda.
