ANKARA - Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal on Saturday expressed sorrow over the execution of ousted leader of Iraq Saddam Hussein.
Baykal released a written statement on the matter.
Indicating that USA and the western world made statements expressing satisfaction over the execution, Baykal said, "it is impossible to understand the rejoice of those who put pressure on every country, including Turkey, for years to abolish death sentence."
"Execution of Saddam is an example showing that political confrontations continued with killings today," Baykal said.
