MERSIN - "Trading with Sudan means trading with the neighbouring countries", said Mohammad al Hassan Ahmed Al Haj, Sudanese Ambassador to Ankara.
Haj attended the "Sudan: Country Promotion Meeting" organized by Turkish-Arabic Businessmen Association (TURAB) in the southern city of Mersin.
"Sudan is the heart of Africa. It is neighbour with 9 countries. This is why trading with Sudan means trading with neighbouring countries" said Haj in his speech at the meeting organized by Mersin Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Head of TURAB Sefat Kutlu said they are aiming to develop relations with 22 Arabic countries. Kutlu said they are trying to increase cooperation among 22 Arabic and 7 Turkic countries by "Sister City Project."
Port Sudan and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality are working on a "Sister City " agreement in order to increase their cooperation and trade.
