WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Senate ratified on Wednesday a bill which condemned bomb attacks which took place in Istanbul on November 15 and 20 and which offered condolences to relatives of people who died in those attacks. The bill stressed the solidarity among Turkey, Britain and the United States in fight against terrorism.
The bill which was ratified in the Senate said that attacks in Turkey was a coward and cruel manifestation of international terrorism and stated that Turkish government condemned terrorism with the most powerful statements and promised that those who were responsible for those attacks would be brought in front of justice irrespective of its cost.
Noting that the United States, Britain and Turkey condemned those dreadful attacks at an equal extent, it said that there was a concern over security of Jewish people in the world as there was increase in anti-Semitic activities.
The bill said that Turkey had hospitality and religious tolerance and stated that attacks on synagogues shocked Turkish people after good relations between Jewish and Muslim people in Anatolia which have been lasting more than 500 years.
The bill expressed condolences to Turkish and British governments and peoples and gave a solidarity message of working together with Turkey, Britain and all countries which are against terrorism to bring those who are responsible for attacks.
U.S. House of Representatives also ratified a similar bill immediately after attacks in Istanbul.
