Guclu: Developed Countries Should Have More Active Role In Prevention Of Hunger And Poverty

ROME - Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Sami Guclu made a speech in the 32nd session of conference of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.
Guclu said that developed countries should have more active role in prevention of hunger and poverty, adding that agricultural activities had very close relation with the quality of natural resources in the world and they were affecting environment.
Noting that Turkey had a large and various agricultural production capacity and an important potential in agriculture and food products, Guclu said that the government took important steps to adjust national regulation with international and European regulations and procedures to protect food products, qualities and consumers.
