ANKARA - Yuksel Cavusoglu, the Chairman of Turkish-Syrian Interparliamentary Friendship Group, said on Tuesday that they appreciated behavior of Syria regarding recent developments.
A delegation of Turkish-Syrian Interparliamentary Friendship Group headed by Cavusoglu and comprised of six people left for Syria.
Prior to their departure, Cavusoglu told reporters that they would meet with high-level administrators of Syria, including Syrian Prime Minister Muhammad Naji al-Utri.
Cavusoglu said that they would take up education, transfer of technology and trade in their meeting.
Asked if they were going to Syria upon recent developments, Cavusoglu said that it was not the reason of their visit.
Cavusoglu added, ''we appreciate behavior of Syria regarding recent developments. But, we stress that dialogue among neighbors should be increased and we expect that any neighbor country or any other country should shelter such people with bad intentions. We will stress this during our meeting.''
The delegation will return to Turkey on Saturday.
