MERSIN - A 4,500-square meter Turkish national flag painted on a hillside in the Toros Mountains now hails the residents of the southern province of Mersin.
Nearly two dozens of workers used five tons of paint in month-long efforts to dye Turkey`s biggest national flag in red and white, with the star and the crescent, Toros Mayor Hamit Tuna told the A.A today.
Even passengers of a plane flying over the mountain hill can see the giant flag, mayor added.
