Tuzmen: Studies Regarding Second Border Gate With Iraq To Reach A Specific Point

ANKARA - State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Tuesday that studies regarding opening of a second border gate with Iraq would reach a specific point till December 15.
Replying to questions of reporters on opening of a second border gate with Iraq, Tuzmen said sub-commissions had been set up following talks with Iraqi delegation, stressing that, ''studies regarding opening of a second border gate with Iraq would reach a specific point till December 15.''
Tuzmen said technical delegations would later complete their studies and take a final decision till January 15.
Tuzmen said opening of the gate would be a positive development to relieve trade, stating that infrastructure studies would start soon in case weather conditions were appropriate.
Tuzmen said Turkey wanted to complete its investments in Iraq, noting that Turkey would continue to give service to Iraqi people also after war.
