EDIRNE - Jeliou Jelev, a former Bulgarian president, received Thursday the peace award of the Southeast European Journalists Association (ADG), which is based in northwestern Turkish city of Edirne.
Jelev, country's first president during Bulgaria's transition process to democracy in the late 1980s, is also a leading figure in the Balkans Political Club.
