MAASTRICHT - Turkey on Monday submitted a draft resolution to the ongoing Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) foreign ministers meeting in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
Strategy to fight against new threats which appeared in 21st century toward international stability and security was discussed as the main agenda item at the meeting.
Turkey's draft resolution envisages further improvement of cooperation between OSCE and Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Tunisia, Algeria, and Afghanistan.
Pointing out that some of the threats toward international security and stability came from region outside OSCE, the draft resolution said cooperation with countries which this threat came was obligatory.
The draft resolution called on values and obligations of OSCE to be spread to a broader area both politically and militarily, stating that obligations like calling for observer and informing on military exercises beforehand should be valid for countries outside OSCE.
Turkey's draft resolution is expected to be accepted on Tuesday.
OSCE foreign ministers meeting will end on Tuesday.
A delegation led by Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Nabi Sensoy represent Turkey at the meeting.
