NKARA - European diplomats consider that it will be "unreasonable" to respond negatively to the EU General Affairs Council`s decision to suspend 8 chapters in Turkey`s entry talks.
European diplomats think that the decision is an important message to remind Turkey that it should fully implement the additional protocol to Ankara Agreement.
They also believe that the decision of EU foreign ministers also signalled that the negotiation process would continue within the scope of other chapters which were not suspended.
Diplomats stated that Cyprus issue should be solved under the roof of the UN, adding that this issue should not be an obstacle to Turkey`s EU accession process.
