KAYSERI - Dutch Embassy`s (in Ankara) Trade Attache Roland Martin had a meeting with (central) Kayseri Chamber of Trade (KTO) Chairman Hasan Ali Kilci.
Noting that nearly 50 companies in Kayseri had commercial ties with Dutch companies, Kilci stated that he believed that if positive developments take place in Turkey`s EU accession process, economic relations with European countries would be boosted.
In regard to the EU foreign ministers` decision to suspend 8 chapters in Turkey`s entry talks, Kilci stressed, "Turkey is aware of its responsibilites and it is exerting great efforts to fulfill them. I hope that diplomatic talks will yield favorable outcomes."
On the other hand, Martin noted that Dutch authorities attached great importance to Turkey, stating that Turkey was ranked the fourth in countries with which the Netherlands was carrying out foreign trade.
Martin stated that he hoped that trade volume between Turkey and the Netherlands would amount to 5 billion USD next year.
