ANKARA - "The decision of the ECHR (European Court of Human Rights) regarding Arestis case is a historic one," said Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The ECHR decided last Thursday that the Immovable Property Commission of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) met the required conditions in the case of Xenides-Arestis.
"This verdict, showing the domestic legal authorities as a reference, is the biggest legal success reached in Cyprus cause," Erdogan commented during the gathering of his Justice & Development Party (AKP) at the parliament.
Erdogan said that Turkey has always been beside Turkish Cypriots, adding, "Turkey will continue to preserve basic sensitivities in Cyprus problem without making any concessions."
