MOSCOW - Gazprom is confident that Turkmenistan will continue to honour existing gas export agreements following the death of president Saparmurat Niyazov, the Russian company said Friday.
"We have first class international contracts ruled by international norms.... There are no reasons to change the conditions, whoever becomes president of Turkmenistan," Alexander Medvedev, deputy chairman of Gazprom, told journalists.
