ISTANBUL - The man (Y.P) who is suspected of ordering the bomb attack on Beth Israel synagogue in Sisli, Istanbul, was arrested by State Security Court (DGM) on Saturday evening.
The six persons who were taken into custody in connection with the bomb attacks in Istanbul were taken to DGM Prosecutor's Office and five of them were released. The only suspect (Y.P) was transferred to the court on duty to be arrested. After being questioned for nearly two months by the DGM judge on duty, he was arrested with attempting to overthrow Turkey's constitutional order by force and sent to Bayrampasa prison.
Police officials had noted earlier the same day that the suspect carried out intelligence gathering on Beth Israel synagogue prior to the attack, went to the location with other accomplices on the day of the attack and ordered the attack.
