ISTANBUL - Football Federation Chairman Haluk Ulusoy said on Friday regarding the decision of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) that they would benefit from international laws until the end.
Replying to questions of reporters, Ulusoy said that they would apply to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) as federation and as Besiktas Sports Club and added that the decision which would be taken from CAS was important for the future. He said that the decision of CAS would be in favor of Turkey.
Emphasizing that he could not completely understand the reasons of UEFA while taking its decision, Ulusoy said that UEFA would have a meeting in Geneva next week and the federation would attend this meeting and try to learn the reasons of the decision. He added that they would carry out necessary lobbying activities.
Ulusoy said that if they reached a result regarding the decisions, they would be pleased, but if they would not reach a result, they would have to obey the decisions of UEFA.
Ulusoy said that it was a wrong and biased decision to move international matches which would be held in Turkey to a neutral venue.
