Edirne Police Confiscate 255 Kg Heroin In 10 Months

EDIRNE - Edirne Security Directorate said on Friday that it captured 255kg 970 gr heroin in the first 10 months of 2003.
Edirne Security Directorate Narcotics Department teams said they detained 105 suspects in 48 operations so far.
Officials said 255.970 kg heroin, 7.9 kg hashish, 1kg opium, 34 gr hemp plant leaves and 413 Indian hemp were captured during the operations.
Police also seized eight weapons, 718 bullets, two hand bombs, three transformers and two sword bayonets.
