SOFIA - ''Cooperative Associate A1-2'' exercise, which was participated by military personnel of 18 countries that were NATO member or took part in Partnership for Peace project, ended on Wednesday in Sofia.
Sources said that the exercise was performed very successfully.
Turkish Armed Forces joined the exercise with 15 officers and non-commissioned officers.
Several operations were put into test on computers. The scenario of the exercise was prepared by Admiral Gregory G. Johnson, Commander-in-Chief Allied Forces Southern Europe (Cinc AFSOUTH). The scenario included various operations of a multinational peace force to restore peace, stability and security in a country where an inner chaos was experienced.
Besides Turkey, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Spain, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, the United States, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Ukraine, Hungary, the Netherlands and Uzbekistan participated in the exercise.
