WE ARE SHOCKED, DECISION SHOULD BE WITHDRAWN
Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul harshly criticized the decision of Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to switch Galatasaray`s and Besiktas` matches with Juventus and Chelsea to neutral venues. Gul said, ``we can`t endure this.`` Gul went on saying, ``on one side, we are hit by terrorism, on the other hand, Europe is trying to hit us. This is the biggest service given to terrorists. They have done what the terrorists want.`` Gul, who told British and Italian ambassadors that Turkey wanted the soccer teams to withdraw their applications, said, ``teams should say that they will come to Turkey and UEFA should change its decision.``

BESIKTAS DESPITE UEFA
Besiktas soccer team of Turkey continues its path in the League of Giants despite the intrigues in Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). Besiktas drew with Lazio in Italy 1-1 and gained one points, which is important for the second tour. Besiktas led Lazio 1-0 by a penalty goal in the half time while Ilhan missed a goal in the second half. Lazio scored a goal with Muzzi. Thus, whether or not Besiktas will qualify will be determined in its match with Chelsea.

HERE IS MURDERER
It has been revealed that Zarkavi, one of aides of Usama Bin Laden, was behind the bombs exploding in Istanbul. Zarkavi of Jordanian origin, who is predicted to be behind the attacks on Jordanian Embassy in Baghdad, is said to be living in Iran. The United States will award any person who tells place of Zarkavi with 5 million U.S. dollars. It has been learned that Zarkavi is leading Turkish Hezbollah in Southeastern Anatolia Region.

EIGHT SIMILARITIES POINTING TO AL QAIDA
Traces of those who caused blood bath in Istanbul reach to Al Qaida organization which tries to spread religion with guns in line with the orders of Vehhabi sect. Here are similarities:
1- All of terrorists were trained in Pakistan.
2- All of them adopted Vehhabi belief.
3- Three of terrorists fought in Chechnya.
4- Terrorists continued their normal life till their suicide attack.
5- Bomb and vehicles loaded with bombs is Al Qaida style.
6- They used couriers in communication not to draw attention.
7- They often made use of internet like Al Qaida.
8- Telephones used by terrorists are registered under name of other people.

Justice Minister Cemil Cicek said those who staged recent attacks and those who aided and abetted them were determined. Cicek said, ``those are Hezbollah type organization. Their foreign ties were determined. They had connections with Al-Qaida. There are also people from Chechen origin.
Cicek said, ``we should from now on come face to face with bitter realities. Islam world could not see the future. It had lost industry civilization in the past, and missed information society today.``

COMPENSATION TO BE PAID IN CASE COMPROMISE CAN BE REACHED ON FORMULA
Ankara came to the point of paying the one million U.S. dollars compensation which European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) envisaged in Loizidou case. Loizidou had filed a suit as she had to leave her assets in the north during 1974 operation. Council of Europe sources said, ``if we can reach a compromise on the formula we worked on, Ankara is ready to pay the compensation.``

SHAME OF THE FATHER
Sefik Elaltuntas, father of Gokhan Elaltuntas, who staged the bomb attack on Neve Shalom Synagogue, is shameful. Sefik Elaltuntas said, ``my son could die a thousand times, but I wish he would not die like this. We can not bear this shame.``
Addressing the Chief Rabbi Ishak Haleva, Sefik Elaltuntas said he wanted to kiss him and apologize and express his condolences for those who lost their lives. He said he wanted to visit families of those who died.
Chief Rabbi Haleva said, ``peace and brotherhood is the desire of all of us. I am pleased that Elaltuntas` family have such feelings. However, we still have the sufferings of the incident. If possible we will meet with leading people of our community and give a reply.``

ORDER IS GIVEN BY ``SECOND MAN``
According to the intelligence officials, order was given by Laden`s aide Zerkavi for the four bomb attacks in Istanbul. U.S. CNN television`s web site said order for the bomb attacks toward Turkey were given by second man of Al-Qaida al-Zerkavi. It said Zerkavi was an expert of chemical and biological weapons.

UEFA VICE-PRESIDENT ERZIK SAYS DECISION OF UEFA IS POLITICAL
Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Vice-President Senes Erzik claimed that the decision of UEFA to switch Galatasaray-Juventus and Besiktas-Chelsea matches from Turkey to neutral venues was political. Erzik said, ``I think that the warning that British government made to its citizens not to go to Turkey after the attacks in Istanbul was effective in UEFA`s decision.``

PRIME MINISTER INSISTENT ON HIS WORD
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who interviewed with Corriere della Sera newspaper, said that he never used an expression like ``Islamic terrorism.`` Erdogan said that he was only saying terrorism and it was enough. Erdogan announced the reason of not using the name of Al Qaida by saying that it was not beneficial to give any name before the investigation was concluded.

GUL: THIS IS NOT SOLIDARITY
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul harshly reacted toward Britain which warned its citizens saying, ``Turkey is dangerous. Don`t go.`` Gul said, ``this is a bad example in fight against terrorism. Those that had been done contradict statements of solidarity.``
Gul complained about the attitudes of European countries in fight against terrorism. Criticizing statements of Britain that there may be new terror attacks in Turkey, Gul said, ``this is a bad example in fight against terrorism. This did not suit to Britain. What had been done is disgraceful.``
Gul said, ``they don`t have a special information. They again give the information which we had earlier shared. We told this to Italian and British ambassadors. Words of solidarity and what had been done contradict each other.``

ERDOGAN: EU SHOULD OPEN ITS DOORS IMMEDIATELY
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan made statements to newspapers in Britain and Italy regarding the attacks in Istanbul. Erdogan stressed that European Union (EU) should open its doors to Turkey. Erdogan said, ``it is important to set a date for Turkey in December 2004 to start full membership negotiations. It is important for a stronger Europe and a stronger Turkey.``
In his statement to Corriere della Sera, Erdogan said, ``my Turkey is under attack. Executors are from Turkey but the brain team is from foreign countries.``

BALL IS IN UEFA`S COURT
Ankara pressed. Italy withdrew its application to switch venue of Juventus-Galatasaray match to a neutral place. Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) convened for an ``urgent`` meeting. Turkey united against the decision of UEFA to switch Galatasaray-Juventus and Besiktas-Chelsea matches from Turkey to neutral venues. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan requested Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to withdraw their application not to give premium to terrorism. As a result of pressure, Italy withdrew its application from UEFA. UEFA administration then held an ``urgent`` meeting. The decision can be announced today.

PERFECT RELIGION LIKE ISLAM CAN`T BE SLANDERED
German Foreign Minister Josckha Fischer reacted to the expression ``Islamic terrorism`` and said that terrorism did not have religion and it could hit everybody. Fischer noted that the issue was exploitation of a perfect religion and added that they would not permit a perfect religion to be slandered.

TURKEY EXERTING EFFORTS TO CHANGE SCANDAL DECISION OF UEFA
The decision of Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to switch Galatasaray-Juventus and Besiktas-Chelsea matches from Turkey to neutral venues caused reactions. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that UEFA`s decision encouraged terrorism. Erdogan, who called Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi for solution of problem, will speak to British Prime Minister Tony Blair by phone today.

THIS TIME EU WANTS DATE FROM ANKARA
European Union (EU) wants permission of Turkey to sell used machines and automobiles. According to businessmen who point out that the EU Commission will bring the issue to the Court of Justice on November 28 in line with the decision of Turkish government, Turkey will not make concessions of this ban not to turn itself ``into a machine graveyard.`` Also, the government will give the message that ``firstly, a negotiation date should be given for membership and then, second-hand machines will be discussed.``
