TBILISI - Mikhail Saakashvili, one of the opposition leaders who seized administration in Georgia, announced on Tuesday that they had nominated only one person for presidency.
Saakashvili, leader of National Movement, told A.A correspondent that the nominee would be announced soon.
Claiming that Aslan Abasidze, the leader of Ajaria Autonomous Republic, aimed to protect his position by some decisions after the administration had changed in Tbilisi, Saakashvili said that there were not any serious problems.
Saakashvili noted that they were in continuous dialogue with administration of Ajaria and they could solve following problems by themselves.
Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline project which would transport Azerbaijani oil to Western markets was of vital importance for them, Saakashvili pointed out.
Saakashvili said that they did not expect any delay in ongoing construction of BTC oil pipeline and that they would attach importance to the project.
They had also given priority to Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (BTE) natural gas pipeline project which would transport Azerbaijani natural gas to Western markets, Saakashvili stated.
Saakashvili added that they would continue balanced foreign politics.
