ISTANBUL - Turkey and New Zealand can enhance their cooperation in agriculture, particularly in dairy products, said New Zealand`s Minister of Trade & Defense, Phil Goff.
Taking the floor in Turkey-New Zealand Business Forum held in Turkish commercial hub of Istanbul, Goff noted that Turkey-New Zealand trade volume is actually low, but there is great potential to raise it.
Goff stressed that earthquake is one of the common problems of the two countries, and said that New Zealand can share its knowledge with Turkey, particularly in strengthening old buildings.
Recalling that Turkish Airlines (THY) has joined the Star Alliance, Goff said that bilateral relations between Turkey and New Zealand will be further improved with this agreement as New Zealand is among the founders of the Star Alliance.
