LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas said regarding the statement of Greek Cypriot leader Tassos Papadoupulos, who said that ''if TRNC President Rauf Denktas had signed Annan Plan, he would not sign it in the Hague'', that it was the indication of Greek Cypriot administration's insincerity about peace.
Denktas said that Turkish Cypriots saw realities one more time that opposition in TRNC had the desire to sign a document without negotiating it, a document even Greek Cypriot administration was not signing although it served their own national interest.
Denktas said that they continuously expressed that Annan Plan undervalued the rights of Turkish Cypriots. Noting that they were following enthusiastic attitude of opposition for the plan that was not protecting sovereignty rights of Turkish Cypriots, and taking lessons from it. He added that people, during the elections, would give the necessary answer to external focuses which gave every type of support to opposition for their winning the elections.
Serdar Denktas said his party want to sign an agreement that would provide a bizonal solution that foresees continuation of sovereignty right and Turkey's effective and de facto guarantee.
