BAGHDAD - Five more US troops died in Iraq, including three marines who were killed in combat, the military reported Tuesday.
All five died on Monday.
Three marines died from "wounds received in enemy action" in the restive province of Al-Anbar in western Iraq, the military said, adding that another died from non-hostile causes in the same province.
Meanwhile, a soldier died from what appeared to be natural causes near the central city of Diwaniyah.
"The soldier lost consiousness and was tranpsorted to a troop medical clinic where medical personnel were unable to revive him," the military said.
The latest fatalities bring the US military`s death toll in Iraq since the 2003 campaign to 2,938 according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures.
