ISTANBUL - A religious ceremony was held in Balat Or-Ahayim Hospital on Monday for those who lost their lives in bomb attacks on Neve Shalom and Beth Israel synagogues in Istanbul.
Participants prayed for Yona Romano, Anna and Anet Rubenstein, who died in the attacks on two synagogues.
Isak Haleva, the Chief Rabbi in Turkey, Bensiyon Pinto, the Head of Jewish Community in Turkey, U.S. Consul General in Istanbul David Arnett, Israeli Consul General in Istanbul Amira Arnon, members of the community and relatives of the victims attended the religious ceremony.
Security measures were tightened during the religious ceremony.
Two bomb attacks were staged on Neve Shalom and Beth Israel synagogues in Istanbul on November 15, 2003.
Twenty-five people died while 303 people were injured in bomb attacks on two synagogues.
