CANAKKALE - Maltese-flagged cargo ship named ''Feluca-1'' which ran aground in Canakkale Strait on Saturday was rescued on Monday.
After the captain of the ship asked for help, a tug-boat pulled and rescued the ship.
The ship anchored after it was saved.
The ship had ran aground in Canakkale Strait due to heavy fog on Saturday. Captain of the ship asked for help as the crew could not save the ship by their own capabilities on Sunday.
The Maltese-flagged cargo ship was 4 thousand 134 gross tons in weight and 107 meters in overall length.
It was en route from Aliaga town of Aegean Izmir province to Ukraine when it ran aground in Canakkale Strait.
