SLEEPING NETWORK WAKES UP HERE
The Sunday Telegraph claimed that bloody attacks were planned in an internet cafe in eastern Bingol province and the group in Bingol collaborated with Al Qaida on the internet. The Sunday Telegraph daily wrote that police confiscated equipment and materials in a cafe named ''Bingol Internet Center'' which was owned by relatives of Azad Ekinci, who was wanted on charges that he was involved in bomb attacks in Istanbul, and suicide bomber Gokhan Elaltuntas. The news claimed that Al Qaida chiefs came to Turkey, trained people on bomb and fuse production and planned attacks. In the news, it was also claimed that Al Qaida chiefs sent crypto messages to Turkish terrorist networks on the internet.

FRATTINI: ANSWER TO TERRORISM IS TO INCLUDE TURKEY IN EU
After the bomb attacks in Turkey, German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, German Minister of Interior Otto Schily, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou and lastly Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini supported Turkey's European Union (EU) membership. Replying to questions of Corierra dela Sera daily, Frattini suggested that they should give a strong response to terrorism by including Turkey in EU as soon as possible.

HERE IS BOMBER
His name is Feridun Ugurlu. His name was heard as he provided suicide bombers who staged the attack on Neve Shalom Synagogue with pick-up truck. He was thought to have run away to Dubai. But, he was here and he exploded the bomb at British Consulate General in Istanbul. Before the attack on the consulate building, police had revealed Ugurlu's involvement in synagogue blasts. Pick-up truck used in attack on Neve Shalom Synagogue was registered under name of Ugurlu's father. When his family was being interrogated, Ugurlu was thought to escape to Dubai. Nobody knew that he was preparing for another attack. After the attack on the consulate building, DNA tests revealed the reality. According to blood and tissue samples on the pick-up truck, the suicide bomber was Feridun Ugurlu, who went to Afghanistan for many times, whose name was deciphered after the synagogue blasts but who could not be captured by the police.

''ATTACKS WERE STAGED BY RELIGIOUS FEELINGS''
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who joined a live program on British BBC1 channel, said, ''there is a finding that attacks were staged by religious feelings.'' Erdogan said that terrorist attacks would never turn Turkey away from its democratic and secular path.

ERDOGAN: OUR EU TARGET NEVER CHANGES
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke at BBC regarding bomb attacks in Istanbul. Erdogan said that there was an international planner of the attacks. He said that the bombs were put into stability of Turkey and added that they never thought to give up democracy, human rights and the European Union (EU) target because of this reason.

GUL TO HOST DINNER FOR FISCHER
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will host a dinner to German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer. Fischer will come to Ankara today to give support following bomb attacks in Istanbul.

OYMEN: ATTITUDE AGAINST NSC IS EXAGGERATED
Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy leader Onur Oymen said that it was wrong to leave National Security Council (NSC) completely non-functional. He added that Justice and Development Party (AK Party) government had an exaggerated attitude on this issue while preparing a law about NSC.

ERDOGAN: AL QAIDA IS NOT CERTAIN
Participating at a live program at BBC, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Al Qaida link was not clear yet with the bomb attacks in Istanbul. Accepting that there were religious feelings under the attacks, Erdogan said that Turkish assailants were used in the attacks.

FISCHER TO COME TO ANKARA
German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer will pay a visit to Ankara today to support Turkey which was shaken with attacks in Istanbul. Fischer will meet with Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul and they will hold a joint press conference. Fischer will depart from Ankara after the press conference.

SADNESS IN CHURCH
A religious ceremony was held at the Anglican Church in Istanbul for the British people who lost their lives in Thursday's bomb attacks, including British Consul General in Istanbul Roger Guy Short. The street where the church was situated was closed to traffic during the ceremony.

DISASTER IN MINE. 10 DEAD
Ten of 13 miners, who were stranded in a mine due to a gas explosion in Ermenek town of central Karaman province, died. Relatives of the miners were very sorrowful while two people were detained on charges of negligence.

ERDOGAN: ''WE ARE DETERMINED''
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who spoke to BBC channel, said, ''as Turkey, we are determined to save ourselves from terrorism. We will continue our fight till the end. Assailants might have staged their attacks for religious purposes, but I am not sure about Al Qaida involvement.''

SECURITY SUMMIT IN PRIME MINISTER'S HOUSE
A security summit was held in the house of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Uskudar district of Istanbul in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Istanbul. Prime Minister Erdogan met with Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu, Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler and Istanbul Police Chief Celalettin Cerrah. Recent developments in investigation into terrorist attacks were taken up in the summit.

TURKEY IN TOP 20 IN EXPORT RATES FOR THE FIRST TIME
Turkey succeeded to be in top 20 in world export figures for the first time in spite of Iraq war and decrease in exchange rates. The export amount which reached 42 billion dollars is expected to become 48 billion dollars until the end of 2003. Import amount will reach 67 billion dollars. Thus, foreign trade will be totally more than 100 billion dollars for the first time this year.

THREE TERRORISTS KILLED
Gendarme General Command continues operations in Golkoy town of Ordu province. Gendarme General Command released a written statement and said that three PKK/KADEK terrorist organization members were killed in a clash in Emirler plateau of Golkoy.
