MERSIN - Lila Pieters, UNICEF Program Coordinator in Turkey, described Sunday Turkey's efforts to protect homeless children as "positive," but said Turkey failed to produce solutions unless a problem occurred.
Pieters stated that Turkey has worked hard to improve the quality of social services and achieved significant success in this field but more investments was needed.
"It is very pleasing to see that Turkish officials are going through a mentality change in devising measures," Pieters added.
