LEFKOSA - Union of Turkish Chambers & Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu arrived in Cyprus today to attend Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) general assembly.
Hisarciklioglu met chairman and representatives of KTTO and Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry.
The TOBB chairman emphasized the role of entrepreneurship in development, and encouraged the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) government to support entrepreneurship.
Hisraciklioglu also paid a visit to Democrat Party leader Serdar Denktas. DP leader who said he is happy to see cooperation between chamber of commerce and industry also added that "it seems that Turkey would have to open its ports now" and cooperation between Cypriot and Turkish businessmen would be important if this happens.
Hisarciklioglu who is accompanied by KTTO Chairman Erdil Nami, was received by TRNC President Mehmet Ali Talat and Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer.
