Ankara Monitors Developments Regarding Georgian Opposition's Breaking Into Parliament

ANKARA - Ankara is monitoring developments regarding the opposition's breaking into the Georgian parliament by demanding President Eduard Shevardnadze's resignation.
Sources said that Ankara had been monitoring election process and developments in Georgia as of November 2 elections.
Stating that Turkish Ambassador in Tbilisi Dicle Kopuz met separately with leaders of all political parties during election process in Georgia, sources said that Kopuz called for leaders to have compromise.
Kopuz recalled that Turkey was a neighbor of Georgia and the two countries had relations rooted in history and stated that developments in Georgia also affected Turkey. Kopuz called on leaders to reach a solution as soon as possible.
Ankara, which called on sides in Georgia to reach compromise, gave the message that Georgia should overcome its current problems.
