TRABZON - Turkey obtained an income of 284 million 370 thousand U.S. dollars through hazelnut export on the 11th week of the export season.
According to figures of Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association, Turkey gained 284 million 370 thousand U.S. dollars by exporting 80 thousand 382 tones of hazelnut in the 11th week of 2003-2004 season that started on September 1.
Turkey exported 67 thousand 122 tones of hazelnut to the European Union (EU) countries, 7 thousand 811 tones of hazelnut to other European countries, 3 thousand 657 tones of hazelnut to overseas countries and 1 thousand 789 tones of hazelnut to the other countries.
In the same period of the previous season, Turkey had exported 115 thousand 264 tons of hazelnut and obtained an income of 258 million 71 thousand 408 U.S. dollars.
