Ceremony Held In New York To Commemorate Jewish Victims Of Istanbul Bombings

NEW YORK - A ceremony was held in New York, the United States, late on Saturday to commemorate Jewish victims of two twin bomb attacks on Istanbul's two main synagogues on November 15, 2003.
The ceremony took place in a synagogue in eastern part of Manhattan.
A Muslim religious official was also in attendance in the ceremony to pray to the God for souls of the victims.
Turkish Consul General in New York Omer Onhon and members of the Turkish community in New York attended the ceremony.
Meanwhile, a demonstration is scheduled to be held in front of the United Nations Headquarters on Wednesday by the Federation of Turkish-American Associations to protest recent terrorist attacks in Istanbul.
A total of 53 people were killed, and hundreds of others were injured in two twin suicide attacks on Jewish and British targets in Istanbul.
