ANKARA - Peter Schieder, the President of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (COEPA), sent a message of condolence to Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc due to blasts which killed many people in Istanbul.
Parliament Speaker's Office Communication Center said on Saturday that Schieder said in his message that he shared the sorrow of Turkish people on behalf of members and personnel of the COEPA.
Schieder stated that he wanted Arinc to convey their condolences to relatives of people who died in bombings and their wish for quick recovery to those who were injured in those attacks.
Noting that those attacks were not only staged against synagogues but also against tolerance between religions and freedom of religion, Schieder said that he believed that Turkish government would protect those vital principles and deliver those who were responsible for those attacks to justice.
