ANKARA - Queen Elizabeth II of Britain sent a message on Friday to President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and expressed her sorrow over the terrorist attacks in Istanbul.
Presidency Press Center stated that Queen Elizabeth II expressed her sorrow and offered her condolences in her message.
Sezer, in return, sent a message to Queen Elizabeth II and offered his condolences for the families of personnel of British Consulate General who died in the attacks and wished a rapid recovery for the injured ones.
Sezer also stressed that the attacks showed once again that international solidarity and cooperation were indispensable.
