ANKARA - National Security Council (NSC) stressed on Friday one more time that international terrorism would not reach its aim and it was necessary to increase regional and global cooperation to carry on a more active fight against terrorism in international field.
NSC reviewed security and order in whole country and took up terrorist attacks launched in Istanbul with all dimensions within this scope in its regular meeting today.
NSC issued a statement after its regular meeting, noting that ''in our country, which was damaged by terrorism most and had painful experiences in near past, but achieved to make ineffective those activities in its democratic structure and legal order, it is stressed one more time that international terrorism will not reach its aim and it is necessary to increase regional and global cooperation to carry on a more active fight against terrorism in international field with the determination and solidarity of our state and nation.''
Cyprus and Iraq issues and all foreign political developments that concern security of Turkey and Turkey's determination in full membership to the European Union (EU) are evaluated comprehensively in regard to national interests in the meeting.
Regulation on NSC Secretariat General was also discussed during the meeting and NSC decided to send it to Council of Ministers.
