ISTANBUL - Istanbul mayor Ali Mufit Gurtuna said on Friday that they could think of starting an aid campaign if a big damage was seen as a result of the explosions that took place in the city.
Gurtuna examined the scene in Beyoglu where an attack was launched in front of the British Consulate General.
Recalling that the debris removing work and rescue efforts ended last night, Gurtuna said that ''only security members and experts will continue their examinations about crime factors.''
Gurtuna said that ''on the one hand, the buildings are examined in technical aspect, and on the other hand damage-assessment work on commercial properties continues. We examine the position of each family and business place which suffered from the attacks.''
