ANKARA - Security General Directorate Spokesman Feyzullah Arslan said on Friday that terrorism didn't have address, nationality and religion, adding that strong countries were also open to terrorism.
Arslan stated that terrorism would be overcome by international cooperation, adding that ''you can't frighten the lion by killing the house sparrow.''
Speaking in a news conference, Arslan said that security forces started their studies after the incidents. Expressing condolences to the Turkish nation, police organization and Britain, Arslan asked citizens to help security to capture the assailants.
Calling press members to be sensitive about the incidents, Arslan said that press should not propagandize terrorist organizations without knowing that by their news stories.
Arslan said that Article 3 of Interpol Main statute was changed on November 18, adding that members of the terrorist organization could be wanted by Red Bulletin.
Arslan stated that Article 3 of Interpol statute prohibited Interpol to deal with political, military, religious and racial issues to date, adding that Interpol Red Bulletin could be issued from now on for terrorist crimes too.
''Britain warned that there could be new attacks in Turkey, did you receive such information?'' asked a journalist to Arslan who said that he didn't receive such information, but the security organization meticulously examined all warnings.
Another journalist said that there were tip-offs that three suspicious lorries were seen in Ankara yesterday, Arslan said that ''they were regular tip-offs and nothing came out. Our control will certainly increase, our citizens should be calm, all sorts of security have been taken for the Ramadan holiday.''
