ISTANBUL - Beyoglu Mayor Kadir Topbas said on Thursday that 38 buildings were damaged in the blast that occurred in front of British Consulate General in Beyoglu district of Istanbul.
Topbas told reporters that six of the buildings suffered major damages.
It could take one or two days to re-open the road around the consulate building to traffic, Topbas said.
Topbas noted that rubble on the road was shifted at great extend while efforts to collect information and evidence continued in the consulate.
