ISTANBUL - Health Minister Recep Akdag said on Thursday that bomb attacks which took place in Istanbul in a week were attacks against tranquility of the country and should be condemned.
Akdag interrupted his tour to Egypt due to blasts in Istanbul and returned to Turkey.
Speaking to reporters at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport, Akdag said that ambulances went to spots immediately after information about the incidents were given to 112 Command Control Center.
Akdag said that ambulances went to Taksim in three minutes and to Levent in five minutes and noted that nearly 80 ambulances carried injured people to hospitals.
Stating that nearly 240 health personnel gave medical treatment to people in the spots, Akdag said that 482 people came to hospitals after blasts.
Akdag said that health personnel gave medical treatment to 482 injured people and 399 of them were discharged and noted that 57 injured people were given medical treatment in hospitals and 10 people had medical operation. He added that four patients were in intensive care.
