BRUSSELS - NATO Council condemned harshly the attacks in Istanbul on Thursday.
After an extraordinary session to assess the attacks, NATO issued a statement underlining that terrorism targeted innocent people once again. It noted that allies expressed their condolences to relatives of people who died in attacks in Istanbul and they were in solidarity with those people.
It stated that Britain and Turkey which became the target of terrorist actions on Thursday were in full solidarity and added that NATO had determination and will for cooperation against terrorism.
