ISTANBUL - Istanbul Governor's Office Operation Centre said on Thursday that 25 persons including two policemen died in the explosions that took place in Levent and Beyoglu districts of Istanbul the same day.
Issuing a written statement, the Centre noted that an explosion took place around 11.00 a.m. in front of Besiktas Levent HSBC Bank Directorate General building and another explosion took place in front of British Consulate General near Beyoglu Aga mosque.
''As of 14.30, the death toll is 25 persons and 14 of them died in explosion in front of the Consulate. Totally 390 citizens are in hospitals and 74 vehicles were damaged in the two explosions,'' it was noted.
