Amman - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan arrived in Amman Saturday for a three-day working visit at the invitation of King Abdullah II.
Erdogan is scheduled to have talks with Jordanian leaders on means of restoring stability in the region and the prospects of reinvigorating the Arab-Israeli peace process and the role Turkey can play in this respect in the light of the good ties it maintains with both Israel and the Palestinians, officials said.
The situation in Iraq is also expected to figure prominently in Erdogan's discussions in Jordan, as the visit comes only a few days before the arrival in Amman of US President George W Bush for a meeting with the Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, they added.
