ISTANBUL - One person who called Anadolu Agency's Istanbul office assumed responsibility for blasts in the name of terrorist organization IBDA/C and Al Qaida on Thursday.
One man who phoned the office around 12.40 local time claimed that the blasts were common acts of IBDA/C and Al Qaida, adding that their attacks on Masonic forces would continue. ''Muslims are not alone,'' he said.
The person who repeated his message one more time later closed the phone. Meanwhile, Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler said that there were 10-15 dead and 200 wounded persons in the blast that took place in front of the British Consulate General in Beyoglu.
Guler added that the second explosion happened after 5-6 minutes from the first one.
