London (dpa) - Blackburn Rovers midfielder Tugay and Tottenham's Hossam Ghaly have failed in their bids to have the red cards they were shown in Sunday's 1-1 Premiership draw overturned.
Tugay was sent off for a professional foul after clipping Ghaly with his trailing leg as he ran through on goal, and Ghaly followed him in injury-time as he caught Michael Gray in the face with his arm as the two jumped for a header.
Both thought they had strong cases for appeal, but the Football Association ruled Tuesday that the orginal decisions of referee Phil Dowd stand.
