NEW DELHI - "Turkey`s proposal about setting up a coordination unit for technical assistance to Afghanistan was accepted. President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan has given instructions to this end," Turkish State Minister Besir Atalay said on Sunday.
Atalay, who is currently in Indian capital of New Delhi to attend the Second Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan, met President Karzai and Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta of Afghanistan.
Following the meetings, Atalay told the A.A, "during the meeting, I explained Turkey`s proposal about setting up a coordination unit for technical assistance to Afghanistan. This proposal was accepted."
Atalay added that he had also held talks with Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
